2005 February - Made first demo CD at Broadoak Studio in Herefordshire (5 tracks) March - Cwlwm Celtaidd (Porthcawl, South Wales ) - Support for the Echoes of Erin Tour ( Newport , Gwent) - One String Loose represented the only Welsh Comhaltas branch Amairgin the Gael, playing as support to the tour performance. May - Tredegar House Folk Festival June - Taurus Fringe Festival (Taurus Crafts, Lydney, Gloustershire) - Folk on the water (Saul, Gloustershire) July 14th - National Festival of Youth Music ( Birmingham ) - One String Loose were chosen to play through UK regional rounds. At this show, they received 2 awards: Outstanding Performance and Best New Composition. 15th - Battle of the Bands – Finals for South Wales ( Riverfront, Newport ) - This competition comprised the best bands from schools around South Wales . One String Loose competed against mainly rock and punk bands to come second in this finals round. August 20 Gwyl Pontardawe Festival (South West Wales ) September 4th - Cardiff International Celtic Festival (Celtitude) 11th - Private Party November 3rd Newport Irish Club Supporting Scottish band, Croabh Rua 7th - Royal Albert Hall – Schools Proms - One String Loose played at this event which featured the best music of school aged children in the British Isles . 19th - St. Julian's Methodist Church (Newport , Gwent) A performance with the Blaenavon Male Voice Choir. 24th - Blaenau Gwent's 2nd Annual Youth Mayor inauguration December 2nd - Private Party 2004 March Cwlwm Celtaidd May Tredegar House Folk Festival Global Village - An Evening of global music at the Riverfront in Newport, Gwent August Busking at the Sidmouth international Folk Festival November Newport Irish Club supporting Scottish group Beneche 2003 March Cwlwm Celtaidd - This was One String Loose’s first proper gig as a band – they had to think of a band name ASAP and they did. Jack and Scott played at this event on the main stage. May Tredegar House Folk Festival - This was the first concert they performed with Joe Brady
